a company that video taped the Super Ride VI this year. Our kids are the Thundering Hooves of Matagorda County, TX. At this time (7/4) their ride is not online, maybe later.... Personally, I had trouble viewing this video-took forever to load, and even then the buffering couldn't keep up. Hoping that it will improve.....

Another Beach Ride

Today we went to Matagorda Beach again. When we have rainwater standing in the arena & pastures, at least the beach is dry enough to ride. I did not take my camera, didn't want to bore you all with pictures of the same people on the same beach! That doesn't mean we don't love our rides! There were four of us and the weather was perfect. The surf was really high and quite rough, so it actually looked different than it usually does.

The storms that were predicted for yesterday did not materialize, thank goodness. We had some rain & wind, but no damage here or at the stables where the horses are. It is a pain to have such wet weather, but I know the rain we get now is important to the pastures later in the year.

Soon it will be rodeo time in Matagorda County. Feb 22 is the beginning of the Matagorda County Fair. The actual rodeo starts on Feb 29. Here is the link: http://www.matagordacountyfair.com/ Ho...

Out of Touch

Sorry to have been absent from this site lately. I have suffered major computer problems. I managed to assist (albeit unknowingly) in the crashing of my "new" used computer. My husband decided that we should switch computers, so he moved all my stuff to the laptop he had been using, and he took the desk unit that I had been using. Well, within a day & a half, the laptop was gaga. All it could say was "windows loading". Which obviously wasn't true! The poor "accustomed to a man" computer could not handle the Loping Ladies 165 daily emails, 28 Multiply users, to say nothing of the other sites I try to regularly try to visit! So;, I'm sneaking back onto my old cpu to update things here!~ I wanted to wish everyone a very merry Christmas~ in case I get found out and can't get back to you! g :)

A group of us met at Brackenridge for a trail ride. There is a 12 mile trail for horses. The trail just opened up this summer.
